Sparsity-Driven Moving Target Detection in Distributed Multistatic FMCW Radars

Abstract: We investigate the problem of sparse target detection from widely distributed multistatic textitFrequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar systems (using chirp modulation). Unlike previous strategies e.g., developed for FMCW or distributed multistatic radars), we propose a generic framework that scales well in terms of computational complexity for high-resolution space-velocity grid.

Matching Pursuit Before Computer Science

I have recently discovered some interesting references about techniques designed around 1938 which could, in my opinion, be considered as (a variant of) the Matching Pursuit algorithm. This is maybe something well known in the literature of the right scientific field, but here is anyway what I recently found.

A geometrical study of matching pursuit parametrization

Abstract: This paper studies the effect of discretizing the parametrization of a dictionary used for matching pursuit (MP) decompositions of signals. Our approach relies con viewing the continuously parametrized dictionary as an embedded manifold in the signal space on which the tools of differential, (Riemannian) geometry can be applied.
